Here at Trailer Burnouts we have been busy in the short offseason between 2024 and the start of the 2025 season in 7 days at Sick Week, implementing new features that we hope will provide valuable resources for the drag and drive community.
While many of these features are ready and available for everyday use, others are still under development and are being designed with the suggestions of website visitors like yourself. If you have any input, we would love if you could visit our Contact Us page and share your thoughts.
- Performance
With a full 73% of our visitors browsing our website on mobile phones, it has become apparent that our site is taking too long to load. We’ve made a handful of changes to address and have seen a notable increase in performance.
- Images sizes are being reduced both in size and with a change to newer technologies that result in pictures that download and display much faster.
- Some of the interractive code has been reduced in size.
- Maps
Recently, the guys over at DragDriveRepeat included a picture of the United States and Canada that showed events in 2025 and where they were located geographically. As the maps for Europe and Australia were missing, one of our visitors suggested we make images of those two areas and we did, later posting it to Facebook.
This put a thought in our head: we should add interractive maps to our site. And with this update, we have.
- Select a venue from an event route listing and you’ll see this page, which has an embedded Google Maps widget that you can use directly to get directions.

- Visit the events listing page and select ‘map mode’.

- Select a country to move directly to it using the dropdown on the top right:

- Zoom in to see more detail using the buttons in the top left, or with the standard pinch-to-zoom feature of your phone:

- From an event detail page, you may see a graphical representation of the venues. It really helps put distance in perspective.

- Detailed Event Results
We have begun the lengthy process of adding results for past events. Due to the variances between published results from the organizers, we do not have an estimated time of completion. Visit the Hot Rod Drag Week 2005 results page to see an example.
These can be accessed from the event detail page and more information may be available for individual results by clicking on the ET.

- Driver Information
Going hand-in-hand with the results pages our the new detailed driver information pages. The work for this was only just begun as is one the most limited new features being released. Here’s one for Larry Larson.

- Event Hosting
We are close to offering hosting for drag and drive events and expect to launch this feature within the next few months. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, we want to hear from you! Visit our Contact Us form and send us a message.
If you’ve made it this far, we’d like to take a moment to thank you and everyone else that visited and continues to visit our site and hope that you find everything you’re looking for. And if you like it enough to recommend it to others, we’d sure appreciate it!
Last year was great, here’s hoping that 2025 is even better.
